JOB OFFER DIESEL ENGINEER/MECHANIC OR ELECTRICIAN
Position: (apprentice) diesel mechanic.
Job Available: Immediately.
Location: Goes and Rotterdam.
Salary: € 2,700 - € 3,250 net (€ 3,230 – € 4,315 gross).
Job description:
Service and maintenance of Caterpillar and John Deere (and other) marine diesel engines and generator sets.
Working in the climate-controlled warehouses is pleasant and clean. In the beginning, under the guidance of your mentor, you will learn all the different skills regarding maintenance and overhaul of Catterpillar marine diesel ship engines.
The first 3 months is on-the-job training in one of the warehouses where you will be prepared for the eventual on the (in the field) work, which includes:
• Preventive maintenance on diesel engines or generator sets.
• Repairs and overhauls of diesel engines and generator sets.
• Analyzing malfunctions of diesel engines and generator sets.
• Working with the latest developments regarding emission requirements in
shipping.
• On-board inspections in inland shipping, fishing, offshore and maritime shipping in the Netherlands and abroad.
You have:
• A technical degree (ship mechanic, diesel marine engines).
• Experience with diesel engines and generator sets.
You are:
• Reliable and motivated.
• Willing to learn.
• A clean worker who is physically fit.
• English speaking and willing to learn (a little) Dutch.
• A team player who can be sent out individually and gets work done.
• Willing to work days from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (45 hours per week).
• Driving license B is pre.
